I shake my head,
"That's a real pity. The city thinks it knows best. When did the cronies come by and bust the place up though?"

"Don't act like you know us, homes. You don't know shit about how it be on the street ...You in your fancy suits and shit. Why the fuck do you care about this shit anyway? How important can that shit be?

"I'm not pretending to know you guys. I'm agreeing that the city sticks its nose in too much. A friend of mine is hoping to find out why his construction is ended. By the look of it the site was busted up, not just stopped by city suits. Do you know when someone broke in?"

You look at his aura as you ask him another question. He is obviously human. And a flash of surprise crosses his aura at the mention of the break in.

"I don't know nothin' 'bout that homes. And if you trying to implicate somethin' you best be watchin' where you steppin'." A chorus of "yeah!" is echoed by the other two men.

I put up my hands in front of my chest.
"It's okay boys. I am not trying to implicate any of you in anything. I just would like to know if the suits were the ones who broke into trailer."

"The fuck you staring at me for dude? You a faggot or somethin'?" The second guy spouts off as you discern the details in his aura. He as well is obviously human. Nervousness becomes a primary color as you scrutinize him.

Placing one hand in my pocket,
"I assure you I am not a homosexual. I apologize if I have made you boys nervous. What would happen if I asked if you were the ones who broke in?"

I turn and start walking away.
"Be careful," I tell them as I walk away. "I hear there are dangerous people in this neighborhood at night."

The men mutter a few things under their breath as you leave, reassuring themselves of their dominance.

The phone rings a few times before Regent Gaylord's voice comes across the line. "Good evening Mr. Pfieffer, I trust you are well?"

I open the car door.
"I am, yes. I have some information on what the current state of affairs here at address of YMCA."
I sit down in driver's seat.
"Would you like me to tell you over the phone, or would you prefer in person?"
I close the car door.

"Over the phone is fine, Mr. Pfieffer. Please, tell me what you have learned so far."

"I arrived a short time ago, and began looking around. Firstly at the site. There were obvious signs of a lack of work, Mr. Gaylord. None of the machines appeared to have moved in sometime. After noticing that the manager's trailer, the kind that construction sites always have off to the side, had been broken into I entered and began looking around. I do have the name of the company doing the construction. I also noticed that the trailer had a gun safe in it. But that does not surprise me given this neighborhood. I walked around the site more, the machines seem in good condition, nothing else was broken. I asked one of the locals and she did not have much to say about the situation. However, three locals whom I assume to be members of the Locos had a bit to say. They claim that some people in suits from the city came and shut the sit down. This did not match up with the fact that the place was broken into and rummaged through. After further questioning, it appears they might be responsible for that action. Though, it appears that this was done by the city. I know the area's council woman is Kesha Kennedy."

"Hmm, I see. I have no direct connections with Kesha Kennedy. It would seem you'll have to start digging into her and the city. Or perhaps whatever happened between the construction company and the city officials."

"I will start right away. Thank you."

"No, thank you, Mr. Pfeiffer."
