Clancy Cotton is a good old southern boy raised in southern Georgia just after the turn of the 19th century. Life was good for 'ol Clancy, he had a name, vast sums of money due to the cotton trade, and most of all a keen desire to exert control over his surroundings. Fortunately for our good 'ol boy, being white, rich, and a cotton "farmer" gave him ample opportunities for all three. Despite, or perhaps because of, his desire and penchant for passionate orations extolling the virtues of slavery and all the good it did for the negro, Clancy decided that a life of law and politics suited him just dandy. Off our boy went to Harvard Law School, founded 1817, by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, to make a name for himself.

Fast forward a few years, and our boy is holding a freshly penned diploma, several offers for employment at any number of prestigious firms in New England, and no few bruises received in bar brawls and "debates" throughout his career. Young Master Cotton would go on to accept a position in Boston, which no doubt served to soften his views, a fact which would have horrified his family had he deigned to share this shift with them; for if there is one thing our boy loved, it was the attention that his families money and name provided.

Clan Prestige comes from presenting himself incredibly well at multiple Brujah "debates", both socially, and during the inevitable fisticuffs that tend to ensue. While money can't buy status, it certainly can grease palms and incline people to listen. Clancy has made a name for himself through his orations, and, if he is to be believed, has swayed quite a few politicians minds in his day...That those sways tended to be in a direction that benefited Clan Brujah may have something to do with it.

Truly a Paragon of Virtue in this dark and horrible world.
