I've been looking it over and mulling through how the game is going and how well it's working and so forth.

Here's the question, do you all feel that the "one real life week = one in game night" time scale work appropriately?

Average scenes per player is about 2.5 scenes "a night". That seems a little light on the amount of things to be accomplished in a night.

Give me some feed back friends, do you want more time per game night? Do you have more time than you know what to do with? Should I stop trying to fix something that isn't broken?

I like the time set up. I know that makes it light on how many scenes there are a night. But at the same time there is no travel time.

It is certainly a balancing act, I do sometimes feel like one week isnt enough time - but if we had two weeks per night, we would be able to do too much, I think.

I am happy for the one week per one night to continue.

To continue off Vincent, when things feel like they Need to be done, the week can be extended. Like the court scene!

I've had this talk with LARP staff before that used a 1:1 time-scale between game-time and real-time and still thought that the game was moving too quickly because of the slower pace that vampires move at than mortals, and the scale of some of the actions the rules let them undertake (buying a business in just a month without drawing suspicion, excuse me?). Right now, I'm feeling like I'm getting 1-2 scenes done in a week, but those scenes are also making things happen in the game-world at a faster rate than it would be reasonable to pull off in reality.

All that to say, I think that the pacing is good where it is, so long as everyone understands an accepts that this is a game, not a simulation, and a self-contained one at that. It doesn't matter that our characters would be getting as much XP in a single year that it took NPCs centuries to accumulate, because we already understand that that's part of how this game works.

My only request would be a downtime period between stories (if it's at all possible to agree on what constitutes a 'story'). This would clearly delineate Willpower regeneration (unless I've missed a house rule on its restoration, or a declaration of particular options from pg.267 being used instead), and would also give a behind-closed-curtains period for characters to make more grandiose changes during (such as Influence gains, ritual research, Resource development, etc.).

It appears I have not explained that I offer two of the optional rules anywhere in the "About" section.

Everyone regens 1 Willpower at the start of every game night.

If prompted and I agree to it, you can receive 1 Willpower for behavior fulfilling your nature.

I will add that in to the House Rules thread later today.
